I was listening to James Blunt today and just remembered one of the songs that I used to listen to all the time. The song in question was “Twist in my Sobriety” by Tanita Tikaram. I ways more than one the song, the feel and the context were much ahead of its time and that is what struck me as I remembered and started humming the song. I went around digging and found the song. Refreshing …
Artists like Tanita do not come everyday… It is a pity that her volume is work is not as expanded as that of Sir Cliff… I would have loved to have hours and hours of unbroken playlist of her songs but alas, she has not made that many records. Here is a list of al her releases
Ancient Heart (1988)
The Sweet Keeper (1990)
Everybody's Angel (1991)
Eleven Kinds of Loneliness (1992)
Lovers In The City (1995)
The Best Of (1996)
The Cappuccino Songs (1998)
Sentimental (2005)

It came to me as a surprise when I came to know that her latest album “Sentimental” was released just on one French lable “Naïve Records”. She should have had a worlwide release.
